Early voters get extra day in Eagle County
EAGLE COUNTY, Colorado Due to the recent increase in the number of registered voters and the length of this years ballot, election officials have added a Saturday to early voting in Eagle County, ColoradoEarly voting take places weekdays, from Oct. 20 to Oct. 31, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the clerks offices at the Avon Annex (100 West Beaver Creek Blvd.), Eagle County Building (500 Broadway) and the El Jebel Annex (0020 Eagle County Dr.). Depending on voter activity, the hours may be extended later than 1 p.m. The offices also will be open Oct. 25 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.We want to give voters every opportunity to vote in this election, said Eagle County Clerk & Recorder, Teak Simonton. We are aware that for those who havent already requested mail ballots, the option to vote early on a Saturday might be attractive. Voters are reminded that identification is required to vote early and also at the polls on Election Day. The most common acceptable forms of ID include: Colorado drivers licenses, Colorado Department of Revenue IDs, valid US passports, valid student ID cards from any institution of higher education in Colorado, US military IDs and certified birth certificates. Campaigning is not allowed within 100 feet of all polling places.
