Ease holiday anxiety and stress with yoga workshop in Vail
VAIL – The holidays are a time of joy and celebration, but they can also be stressful and hectic; filled with commitments, deadlines and pressure. The introduction of yoga can help ease the effects of anxiety, providing a place for community, connection and embodiment, as well as a place for healing. The Yoga Studio at Vail Vitality Center at Vail Mountain Lodge & Spa is offering a special practice focused on easing anxiety and depression Wednesday from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.”Yoga is therapeutic,” said Julia Clarke, yoga coordinator at Vail Vitality Center at Vail Mountain Lodge & Spa. “The healing power of this particular practice comes with the thoughtful engagement of evolved movement and generous time in which to reflect upon your participation with it.”Clarke teaches this two-hour candlelit bhava vinyasa practice, focused on filling yourself with hope. The first half of the practice will allow for reconnection with the natural rhythmic self. Clarke guides students through an all-levels vinyasa flow, embodying the breath and aligning with individual sense of grace. The second half of the session encourages healing through an anjali restorative yoga practice; gentle supported poses guided with thoughtful imagery and poetic meditations.”Your yoga practice is about you,” Clarke said. “This particular session encourages an inward focus with healing intention. So often the holidays are about those around us as we strive to make others happy. This special practice gives you permission to focus on yourself – your health and well-being – for two blissful hours.” For information or to register for the Yoga to Ease Anxiety & Depression holiday practice at Vail Vitality Center, visit http://www.vailvitalitycenter.com or call 970-476-7960.
