Eat Chat Parent speaker series kicks off Tuesday with author Paul Jenkins
The 2019-20 Eat Chat Parent speaker series will kick off Tuesday night at Eagle Valley High School with a presentation on positive parenting by nationally recognized speaker, psychologist and author Paul Jenkins, PhD. This year’s speaker series is once again dedicated to bringing topics in youth mental health to the community.
Jenkins’ presentation is called “Positive Parenting: Change Your Language, Change Their Life.” Jenkins will help attendees learn positive parenting techniques to develop your child’s lifelong emotional intelligence skills and build a strong foundation for your family’s success.
Jenkins is a speaker, psychologist and author who has been helping families for over 20 years. He uses a positive psychology process, which empowers relationships and increases happiness and satisfaction. Through engaging activities and examples, he connects people to principles that make a real difference in day-to-day life.
Jenkins will speak Tuesday night at 6 p.m. at Eagle Valley High School in Gypsum, then give the same presentation Wednesday night at 6 p.m. at Battle Mountain High School in Edwards.
There will be free dinner available on both nights starting at 5:30 p.m. Free childcare is also available but reservations are required because space is limited. Spanish interpretation is also available.
The Eat Chat Parent series is a project of the Eagle River Youth Coalition. Vail Health is the presenting sponsor of the series.
