Edwards bank evacuated
Edwards CO Colorado
EDWARDS, Colorado ” Police evacuated an Edwards, Colorado bank Friday after an employee was handed a note she thought was a bomb threat.
A teller at the 1st Bank at 105 Edwards Village Blvd. was handed a piece of paper that said “get out now” and immediately called 911, police said. After clearing the building and closing a stretch of Highway 6 and searching for explosives, officials determined there was no threat to the area.
Police said the employee misinterpreted the note, which was meant to be delivered to someone else at the bank. The message referenced an ongoing roommate dispute, according to police.
The incident is under investigation by the Eagle County Sheriff’s Office.
