EDWARDS – Edwards’ Miller Ranch Bridge and its once controversial blue lights has won the project of the year award from the Colorado chapter of the American Public Works Association.

The Miller Ranch Bridge, which open on Jan. 9, 2004, was one of 36 projects nominated. In the late 1990s Eagle County received money from the Federal Highway Administration to cover nearly 80 percent of the cost of construction.

The Eagle County School District, Colorado Mountain College and the Colorado Department of Transportation also contributed.
