Edwards candidate forum to be held Monday
EDWARDS — The Edwards Metropolitan District is sponsoring a forum for candidates for local and regional elected offices. The forum is set for Monday from 6 to 8:30 p.m. in the lecture hall at Colorado Mountain College.
The public is invited, and potential voters can hear candidate presentations and answers to questions.
Invited candidates are:
Eagle County Commissioner — District 1:
Jill Ryan (Democrat) — incumbent.
Michael Dunahay (Republican).
Eagle County Commissioner – District 2:
Kathy Chandler-Henry (Democrat)– incumbent.
Rick Beveridge (Republican).
Eagle County Treasurer:
Mari Renzelman (Republican) — incumbent.
Teak Simonton (Democrat).
District Attorney — 5th Judicial District:
Bruce Brown (Democrat) – incumbent. Heidi McCollum, Brown’s deputy in Eagle County, will be his surrogate since he is unable to attend.
Bruce Carey (Republican).
Sanam Mehrnia (Unaffiliated).
State Representative – District 26:
Diane Mitsch Bush (Democrat) – incumbent,
Michael Cacioppo (Republican).
The Austin family has always believed in supporting their community through food education, which is why it was an easy decision for them to begin partnering with The Community Market, a local hunger relief project, to improve access to local produce for low-income individuals in Eagle County.
