EDWARDS, Colorado – Alpine Arts Center’s fall schedule includes a dynamic lineup of art classes for all ages, which begin the week of Sept. 7. Classes such as “Mommy and Me Get Messy,” “Mini-Michelangelos,” and “Outrageous Outfits” are among the classes being offered for children.
Adult classes include the popular “Ladies Clay Nights,” “Beginning Painting,” and “Camera to Computer,” as well as a number of one-day workshops in mediums such as watercolors, plein-air painting, photography, and more.
The complete class schedule with more than 30 art offerings is available on their website, http://www.alpineartscenter.org, along with class descriptions and easy online registration.
“The idea behind Alpine Arts Center is to offer a creative outlet to our entire community, an art hub for both artists and art enthusiasts,” said Lauren Merrill, owner and art instructor at the center. “We encourage everyone to come experience art in some form, whether art is a passion, a hobby, or just a fun way to add some culture and creativity into our active mountain lifestyles.”
Merrill is one of 15 art instructors who will be teaching at Alpine Arts Center this fall.
In addition to art classes and workshops, Alpine Arts Center will also be holding monthly art events and gallery openings on Friday evenings. Coming up in September is a “Kids Art Pajama Party” scheduled for Sept. 17, a “Clay Date Night” planned for adults on Sept. 10, and a gallery opening featuring Denver artists Jeanne Hougen and Jeanne Echternach on Sept. 24. Alpine Arts Center also specializes in kids birthday parties, private parties, corporate retreats, and community outreach programs. They encourage drop-ins anytime for paint your own pottery, use of the ceramics studio, and painting and craft activities.
