Edwards man accused of drug distribution

EAGLE, Colorado – An Edwards man was arrested Wednesday for allegedly selling prescriptions drugs to high school students.

Dylan Warren Cook, 19, faces charges of felony drug distribution and misdemeanor child abuse. Cook allegedly had a juvenile with him when he sold the prescription drugs to an undercover police officer.

The juvenile was not charged and released to his or her mother.

Several tips from Crime Stoppers led the Eagle County Sheriff’s Office to Cook, deputies said. He was asked to meet the undercover officer in Eagle to make the drug deal, and did it, police said.

He was immediately arrested.

Cook was booked into the Eagle County jail and placed on $2,500 bond.

Eagle police assisted with the investigation.
