Edwards: Man suspected in bolt-cutter attack
Edwards, CO Colorado
EDWARDS, Colorado – A man was arrested Sunday on suspicion of threatening people with a knife and assaulting a man with heavy-duty bolt cutters in Eagle River Village in Edwards, according to an Eagle County sheriff’s report.
The suspect had been arrested about a week earlier for a domestic disturbance.
On Saturday night the suspect walked into a home and threatened everybody with a knife and it was believed he did this because he was upset with a man at the residence regarding his arrest, the report said.
No one was harmed Saturday but on Sunday the suspect attacked another man, who suffered cuts, bruises and a fractured wrist, the report said.
The suspect, who denied being involved, was arrested and charged with assault in the second degree, menacing of a deadly weapon, disorderly conduct and false reporting to authorities.
