Edwards’ Michele Nichols receives honor
Vail, CO Colorado
EDWARDS, Colorado – The Hospitality Sales and Marketing Association International selected Michele Nichols, of Edwards, as one of the “Top 25 Most Extraordinary Minds in Sales and Marketing” for 2010.
The eighth annual list recognizes the “best of the best” in the hospitality, travel and tourism industries, and the recipients were honored during a private ceremony preceding the Adrian Awards Gala on Jan. 31 at the New York Marriott Marquis, and were also recognized at the Adrian Reception and Gala.
The 2010 “Top 25” recipients were judged by a panel of senior industry executives for their recent work based on the following criteria: creativity and innovation, cutting edge sales or marketing campaigns, triumph in challenging situations, and sales efforts that resulted in dramatic gains.
As the founder of Unique Venues, a marketing membership organization that connects meeting planners with unique meeting and event space, Nichols identified an underserved niche of campus venues and promoted them to planners by publishing the first Guide to Convening on Campus featuring 140 colleges and universities. That was 1986. Today, that niche has broadened to more than 750 venues in the U.S., Canada and U.K. including museums, mansions, stadiums, theaters, cruise ships and more.
