Edwards project approval delayed again
What they talked about: An indefinite delay before the commissioners hold their first hearing on the Eagle River Meadows. The Atira Group, an Edwards-based development company, last year submitted a proposal to develop 105 acres of former gravel pit in Edwards most recently operated by B&B Excavating. The proposal would put a mix of housing, retail and commercial development on the property. Why the delay? County planner Scot Hunn said the Eagle County Planning Commission and the developer both need more time to work through the plan before taking it to the commissioners. What’s next? More meetings between Atira and the planning commission.Present: Sara Fisher, Peter Runyon, Jon Stavney.
