EDWARDS, Colorado “Roundup River Ranch, a camp for children with life-threatening illnesses scheduled to start construction near Dotsero later this year, is hosting a Snowshoe Race Saturday at Cordillera’s Nordic Center and ending at Timber Hearth Grille in Cordillera.

All proceeds will benefit Roundup River Ranch, a provisional member of Paul Newman’s Association of Hole in the Wall Camps, whose mission is to enrich the lives of children with life-threatening illnesses.

Registration for the 5K and 10K races begins at 9 a.m., at the Cordillera Nordic Center. Day of race registration is $35. There will also be a kid’s 1K for $5. Registration includes chili, brownie, hot chocolate and a cash bar following the race at the Timber Hearth Grille. Bring your own snowshoes, or use Cordillera’s snowshoes until they run out.
