El Pomar Foundation awards grants to Eagle County nonprofits

El Pomar Foundation trustees approved $575,000 allocated to 12 nonprofit organizations and government agencies in the High Country region, with four nonprofits in the Vail Valley earning funding.

The local nonprofits to earn grants are:

  • Eagle River Youth Coalition, Inc. (Edwards) – $20,000 for general operating support; competitive
  • Eagle Valley Senior Life, Inc. (Avon) – $5,000 for general operating support; competitive
  • Foundation of Trustees for the Family Learning Center (Edwards) – $15,000 for general operating support; competitive
  • Vail Health Services Foundation – $10,000 for Olivia’s Fund; regional merit and regional council
