Electronic producer Emancipator will perform at Agave in Avon Thursday. In a world of whompy dance beats, Emancipator has a more cerebral style. He self-released his first album, “Soon It Will Be Cold Enough,” at the age of 19 in 2006. His latest album, “Safe in the Steep Cliffs,” blends new instrumentation and organic samples with dense layers of choirs, horns, and American folk instruments such as mandolin and banjo and violin. This electronic producer had a sold-out New Year’s Eve show in Breckenridge last year.

He will be joined by Brooklyn-based producer DVS* as well as rising stars the Human Agency.

Human Agency is the Denver-based duo of Biorhythm (Ryan Kjos) and Dialogue (Seamus Moore). Emerging alongside the very recent surge of gifted Colorado-based beat acts, they cultivate organically sampled production and rhythms, while infusing them with a chemical twist. Using dance styles and instrumental performances, they are formless in style and pool listeners from many sounds. The group aims toward a collaborative stage effort to create a mixed media spectacle. Human Agency will be joined by a live drummer, Jonas Otto (formerly of the Denver band Octopus Nebula). These will be the very first shows they’ve played with a live drummer. All of Human Agency’s music is-available for free download at http://humanagency.bandcamp.com.

Tickets are $15 and available at Agave, Get Hi Gallery and RMEntertainment.com.
