The Vilar Performing Arts Center in Beaver Creek has been churning out the music, comedy, dance and classical performances this winter. But as the season winds down, it’s time to start thinking about the warmer months and the Vilar’s summer lineup doesn’t disappoint.
Elvis Costello will kick off the summer season with his band, the Imposters. He will be joined by blues and rock artist Charlie Sexton. The artists will be coming together for Radio Soul: The Early Songs of Elvis Costello Tour, which will be traveling the country this summer and making a one-night stop in Beaver Creek on June 28.
Keb’ Mo’ won’t be flying solo, either. The blues artist who has played at the Vilar Center several times will be joined by the highly acclaimed singer-songwriter and guitarist Shawn Colvin. Between the two of them, they have won eight Grammy Awards. The duo is excited to be touring the nation together and this will be an exceptional pairing on Aug. 28.
For Neil Diamond fans, you won’t want to miss So Good! The Neil Diamond Experience. Playing the part of Neil Diamond is Robert Neary, who has a pretty spectacular career of his own with three Broadway leads and over 60 guest starring appearances on television and in film over the past 40 years. In 2019, Neary created his Neil Diamond tribute show and perfected it during the pandemic. Neary, along with his band, The Mystic, have been selling out venues across the nation in what’s been called the most authentic and professional tribute to Neil Diamond. Sing along to the hits on July 17.

Other highlights include rock band Bachman-Turner Overdrive, Jesus “Aguaje” Ramos & the Buena Vista Orchestra and Lyle Lovett and his Large Band.
