Endangered fish may affect river levels

Daily Staff Writer

EAGLE COUNTY – The popular Waterwise Wednesday programs continues at 5 p.m., Wednesday, at the Eagle Library with a discussion about how endangered species affect the proposed Wolcott Reservoir and water levels in the Eagle River. Other endangered and non-native species will be discussed. The goal of the series, held the second Wednesday of each month, is to learn more about specific and complicated water issues facing our community. Participants are encouraged to ask questions and join in the discussion following the presentation. Please call to reserve your seat so organizers can plan snacks. Volunteers are also needed to help with the series. ==========================================Waterwise WednesdayTopic: Endangered species & local waterWhen: Wednesday, 5 p.m. – light reception; 5:30 – presentation & discussionWhere: Eagle LibraryVolunteers: NeededMore information: Eagle River Watershed Council at 827-5406 or info@eagleriverwatershedcouncil.org.
