Energy released at Mogul Mania party
Scheduled to kick off at 5 p.m., the Mogul Mania bash will feature all the elements of Powder Hounds’ regular apres activities, including the live sounds of Steve Meyer, “The Good Times Man,” along with the infamous brand of Mogul Mania mayhem that has become the trademark of the post-event sessions over the past seven years. Highlights include awards presentations, raffles, contests, giveaways and assorted antics, not to mention all the pent up energy that was not expended during the day’s dual moguls and air show competitions.”Mogul Mania is a classic case of all the action not being confined to the course,” explained Jeff Brausch of Highline Sports & Entertainment, the Vail-based sports marketing and events company responsible for Mogul Mania. “The post-event party really takes on a life of its own. Best of all, the public can participate right along with the competitors. It’s the best time you can possibly have at apres ski.”Headlined by Captain Morgan and the Morganettes, the Mogul Mania party will also feature $4,000 worth of prize giveaways and raffle items, and numerous “off-hill competitions,” including a frozen T-shirt contest, milk chugging competition and push-up challenge, to name but a few.The party gets started at Powder Hounds in Lionshead at 5 p.m. Saturday.
