VAIL, Colorado – Samana Lounge in Vail Village is hosting a free show with The Fox Street All Stars Wednesday. The show starts at 10 p.m. The band’s sound is a mix of soul, funk and rock has been described as AC/DC meets Aretha Franklin.

“When Fox Street come to town, its always an impressive display of good old dirty rock and roll; they get the audience pumping,” said Scotty Stoughton of Samana Lounge.

Originating from varied musical backgrounds, the founding trio of drummer Eric Low, guitarist/lead vocalist Jonathan “Skippy” Huvard, and guitarist/vocalist James Dumm strive to be masters of adaptability. Huvard brings the dirty southern blues feel, Low adds a funky, energetic New Orleans approach and guitar monster Dumm is a human jukebox. With the wide range of influences that are shared amongst the band members, The Fox Street All Stars have quickly built a catalog of cover songs and originals that numbers in the hundreds, allowing for vastly different set lists from show to show.

“My favorite thing about playing in this band is how fun all the shows are and how fun it is to play with James, Skippy, and company,” Low said.

Bringing this vibe to the audience is a collective goal for the band.

“We strive to make people feel as if they are a part of the show, a piece of the action, not just watching a concert,” Huvard said. “I want the audience to escape from the worries and pressures of life and to set themselves free of all burden; to reach a point of pure joy and elation, and to dance their asses off.”

All shows at Samana Lounge are 21 and over. Samana is located on Bridge Street in Vail Village, for more information call 970-476-3433 or log onto
