EverGreen Ball to honor Gov. Ritter
July 16, 2010
BEAVER CREEK, Colorado – On Aug. 14 at the Park Hyatt in Beaver Creek, the second annual EverGreen Ball will honor Gov. Bill Ritter for his achievements in making Colorado’s economy a model for creating jobs, attracting companies and producing innovative clean-energy technologies.
The ball is at the Park Hyatt Beaver Creek Resort and Spa. Cocktails start at 6 p.m., followed by dinner and dancing to the Sheryl Renee Band.
Green From the Ground Up, the second annual EverGreen Ball, is the Vail Valley’s first sustainable soiree. Its mission is to increase awareness of land and water conservation and living a sustainable life through a fun, educational and creative party that doesn’t result in the typical party waste and energy use.
The event will raise funds for the Eagle Valley Land Trust, the Eagle River Watershed Council and the Eagle Valley Alliance for Sustainability.
Guests are encouraged to don their most sustainable – and creative – threads, like a vintage tux or a gown fashioned from gold American Express cards.
There will also be a silent auction.
