In between the busy summer months and the ski season is typically when things slow down a bit. It’s called “off season” but many locals know it as a season for deals. This time of year you can oftentimes get a good deal on a meal or spa treatment. Some people even plan trips to the Vail Valley this time of year just to take advantage of the savings. Whether its getting your girlfriends together for a spa day or celebrating a birthday or anniversary with a nice meal, do it now because the deals don’t last forever.

Please note that Vail Beaver Creek Restaurant Week, which used to be held during the slower season, is not happening this year due to lack of participation from restaurants.

“With businesses still struggling to find enough employees many of them are choosing to shut down in the shoulder season to give themselves and their employees a break before winter,” said Alison Wadey, executive director of the Vail Chamber and Business Association.

The Welcome Center in Vail has a list of restaurants in Vail Village and Lionshead that shows who is open and the dates that restaurants are closing. This time of year, it is always good to check with your favorite restaurant and see if they are open and what their current hours are. Reservations also help restaurants plan for your visit and allows them to staff appropriately.
