Family fair coming to Eagle Saturday

EAGLE, Colorado ” The inaugural winter Free Family Fun Fair will take place at the Eagle County Fairgrounds in Eagle from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday. The fair is an event designed for local families with children ages 2 to 12.
The event features free activities throughout the day including a quad bungee trampoline, several bouncy castles, an obstacle course, a train, a climbing wall, a mechanical bull and pony rides. Also featured is a face painting tent, an art tent, balloon animals, a stilt walking cowboy and mascot characters.
“We hope that the success of our Summer Free Family Fun Fairs will translate into a great day for kids this Saturday at Eagle County’s 55,000 square foot indoor facility at the fairgrounds,” said Steve Russell director of the Western Eagle County Metro Recreation District.
Holli Snyder, general manager of NRC Broadcasting in Avon, noted that “the unique aspect of this event is the partnership between Eagle County, WECMRD, the town of Gypsum and the town of Eagle, who have all come together to fund this great day of free fun for local families.”
Eagle County’s emergency responders will also be on site with an ambulance and a fire truck for everyone to view up close. Food vendors will be on hand throughout the day selling food, along with various vendors and non-profits from across the valley. Parking is also free and on-site.
