Family found dead had won weekend at Aspen home
ASPEN,Colorado ” A family friend says the Denver family found dead in an Aspen area home had bought a weekend stay there in a church auction.
The bodies of 39-year-old Parker Lofgren, his 42-year-old wife Caroline and their two children were found Friday. The 3-acre property east of Aspen is on the market and listed for $8.9 million.
Family friend Scot Wetzel says the Lofgrens and another family had bought a weekend at the property through a church auction. The other family discovered their bodies.
A prayer service is planned Monday for the family at St. Anne’s Episcopal Church and School in Denver. The couple’s children, 10-year-old Owen and 8-year-old Sophie, were both students there.
