WOLCOTT — A single vehicle accident killed two children and injured two other children and an adult female Monday afternoon.
A SUV rolled over when it was traveling east on Interstate 70 between Eagle and Wolcott mid-afternoon Monday, said Trooper Nate Reid, public information officer with the Colorado State Patrol.
Four of the five victims were younger than 18 years old. The female is an adult, Reid said.
Two children were pronounced dead at the scene. The two other children and the adult female were transferred to the Vail Valley Medical Center with moderate injuries, Reid said.
Interstate 70 was closed for about an hour and a half Monday afternoon.
The names of the deceased and injured were not released Monday.
The cause of the wreck remains under investigation.
