February is Heart Health Month at Aria Athletic Club & Spa
VAIL — Participants in Aria Athletic Club & Spa’s Heart Health Challenge can do their heart some good in February by committing to 30 minutes of cardiovascular exercise each day for the entire month. Those who do so will eligible to win prizes.
Dan Timm, Aria general manager, is taking on the challenge himself.
“It is only a minimum of 30 minutes a day for 29 days. Why wouldn’t you do it?” he said. “The heart is the most important muscle in the human body. Like any muscle, you can improve and strengthen it through proper exercise and nutrition.”
Heart disease is the No. 1 cause of death for men and women in the United States. It is an equal-opportunity killer that claims the lives of approximately 1 million men and women annually.
With the new ownership of Vail Cascade Resort, Aria is scheduled for a complete renovation beginning June 1. Aria Athletic Club & Spa will remain open during the remodel.
