Female DJ duo Posso comes to Samana in Vail for two-night set
VAIL CO, Colorado
VAIL – Samana Lounge is hosting a very special event with two of L.A.’s hottest tastemakers Wednesday night and Thursday night. In the pursuit of all things creative, Posso has garnered worldwide attention as DJs and avant-garde designers. Posso (meaning “I can”) is a collaboration between lifelong friends Marylouise Pels and Vanessa Giovacchini.
“This pair of funky fashionistas from L.A. are known for their signature gypsy house sound,” said the show’s promoter, Austin Gavlak. “Their DJ sets have gained international buzz for good reason, and we can’t wait to show Vail this week.”
Together, the women bridge design, music and art in an ever-evolving project that takes them all over the world. Posso has performed at super clubs, fashion events and international festivals, including Summer Sonic Music Festival in Japan, Hellow Music Fest in Mexico, Pacific Fest in Orange County, Calif., L.A.’s HARD Holy Ship and, most recently, Electric Daisy Carnival in Las Vegas. With musical roots from disco and classic house to banging electro, progressive and tech house, Posso commands any stage and any venue, be it a small, intimate setting or large festival. Their style and energy radiate through their unique live DJ performances, which include live vocals and keys. Parlaying their influence on design and culture in the music and fashion world, Posso recently designed a capsule clothing collection for Volcom for both spring and summer 2012 and is currently writing and co-producing an album of original dance music to be part of their live DJ show.
They will be sharing the stage with Beschloo, adamROSS and Mo:Rockin.
The person found in the Blue River on Monday afternoon has been identified as John Scott Still, 53, according to the Summit County Coroner’s Office.
