Fire breaks out at car repair shop in Eagle-Vail
Vail, CO Colorado
EAGLE-VAIL, Colorado – Firefighters responded to a car fire Friday evening inside Leadfoot Linda’s repair shop in Eagle-Vail.
The fire was reported at 6:20 p.m. at the shop, which is located at 41049 Highway 6, near Big O Tires.
Firefighters arrived on scene within minutes, quickly secured a water source and began to attack the blaze through the open bay door. The fire was contained to the bay area and did not extend to the T-shirt shop or the auto parts shop that are also located within the structure.
Property damages are estimated to $250,000. No emergency responders were injured in this fire.
George Brodin, owner of Leadfoot Linda’s, said that a fuel pump was being serviced in a vehicle on a lift when the fire started and that no Leadfoot Linda’s employees were injured when the fire started.
