Fire burns home in Bond
Vail, CO Colorado
MCCOY, Colorado – Firefighters responded to a structure fire on the Copper Spur Road in Bond shortly before noon Wednesday.
The home, at the Copper Spur Ranch, had burned to the ground before firefighters arrived, said Chief Brita Horn of the Rock Creek Volunteer Fire Department. No one was home at the time of the fire.
The cause of the fire is unknown and is considered non-suspicious in nature by the Routt County Sheriff Investigator.
The ranch is located on the upper part of the Copper Spur Road, Routt County Road 2.
The ranch was the original Upper Yarmony Creek Ranch homesteaded by Frank Delaney in 1892.
