Fire restrictions are lifted
Vail, CO Colorado
EAGLE COUNTY, Colorado – The Eagle County Sheriff’s Office has removed restrictions on open burning. Effective at 12:01 a.m. Saturday, fire restrictions were lifted in Eagle County.
Sheriff Hoy instituted fire restrictions on March 29 due to dry conditions and high fire danger. With the recent wet weather, the fire danger has lowered significantly.
The sheriff and local fire authorities would like to remind users that there is still a large amount of fire fuel available with increasing temperatures and high winds. Although the fire restrictions have been removed, the Eagle County Sheriff’s Office would like to urge extreme caution to those who wish to conduct open burning.
