What strategy do you use to differentiate your business from your competition: Caring4You is committed to enhancing a family member’s quality of life by providing individual care plans. Care-giving is not one size fits all; it is as personal as it gets when you are caring for someone and it needs to be done with respect and understanding (none of us wants to be in that situation). We are a tool for the family and clients to use to help meet their individual needs.
What philosophy do you follow in dealing with your customers? What can your customers expect from you: We offer compassionate, loving, competent and, most importantly, individual care to those that need it, when they need it, in a variety of health care diagnosis and treatments plans.
Tell us a little about your background, education and experience: My background is in marketing, I spent most of my career in radio, newspaper and television sales. If someone had told me 10 years ago I would start a home health care business, then I would have told them they were wrong — apparently there was a different plan for me. I am passionate about this work and the importance of it.
Nine years ago, my head injured sister moved in with my daughter and I, my mother was diagnosed with ovarian cancer and my father ended up with a lung virus that left him on oxygen 24/7. I was, by default, the caregiver for all of them. During that time I saw care done very well and not so well. I decided to go through the licensing process with the state of Colorado in 2012. In 2013, my mom and sister passed away within three months of each other and my dad was still struggling. It was another year before we took on our first client. We now will be celebrating two years of great care-giving this month.
