AVON — Avon will host the new Apres Avon event Friday from 4 to 7 p.m. The event will include music from Railroad Earth’s Tim Carbone joining the Grant Farm Band on stage. A “farmers market style” winter market will make its debut just in time for the holidays, featuring 11 Colorado artisans and local vendors offering distinctive home accessories, natural soy candles, lotions, handmade jewelry and ornamentation, handcrafted attire and other trappings.

Performance artists will entertain and captivate with fire juggling, magic, puppetry and living statuary art. Soups and stews made by Food by Marc and The Gourmet Cowboy will warm you. A specially created new hot apres drink for adults will be perfect to sip around a glowing fire pit. Complimentary hot cocoa is offered for children of all ages while supplies last. KZYR radio will broadcast live from the event.

The celebration will take place at Possibility Plaza, 45 Benchmark Road, which is the primary plaza of the new mall just east of the Wyndham. Parking is available at the Avon Rec Center, Lake Street, Avon Town Hall and Benchmark Road. Additional parking can be found at Beaver Creek’s Elk Lot.
