Fishing tournament is Monday on Colorado River

EAGLE COUNTY, Colorado – A fishing tournament to be held Monday on the Upper Colorado River will benefit St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

The first annual Angler’s Cup Fly Fishing Tournament is presented by Colorado River Outfitters.

The tournament will be from 8:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m. on the Colorado River.

Awards and celebration will be at 4 p.m. at State Bridge.

Anglers will be competing for prizes. Entry costs $525 per team (two anglers) plus a $100 pledge to St. Jude Children’s Hospital. Boat, fly fishing guide, streamside lunch, and equipment is provided.

The Longevity Project is an annual campaign to help educate readers about what it takes to live a long, fulfilling life in our valley. This year Kevin shares his story of hope and celebration of life with his presentation Cracked, Not Broken as we explore the critical and relevant topic of mental health.

The evening event will be held at McRae Amphitheatre at State Bridge.

Ticket price is a $10 donation at the door or by reservation. Cash bar and barbecue dinner will be part of the event. There will also be live entertainment.
