Fixed the signs at Vail Pass
Vail, CO, Colorado
A recent letter to The Vail Daily (“Signs aren’t right,” Jan. 28) by Murray V. Heminger Jr. pointed out that the two elevation signs at the summit of Vail Pass along Interstate 70 were incorrectly placed ” that the eastbound sign should actually be on the westbound side and vice versa.
We researched the elevation and found that, in fact, the signs were misplaced. Fortunately, weather conditions allowed us to change the signs around this week. Both signs now indicate the correct altitude at their respective locations.
Thank you very much for bringing this to our attention.
