DEEP MONSOONAL MOISTURE WILL REMAIN OVER EASTERN UTAH AND

WESTERN COLORADO TODAY AND TONIGHT. DAY TIME HEATING COMBINED



WITH A DISTURBANCE MOVING OVER NORTHERN UTAH AND NORTHWEST

COLORADO WILL TRIGGER NUMEROUS SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS ACROSS



THE REGION. SOME OF THESE STORMS WILL PRODUCE TORRENTIAL

RAINFALL. TODAYS STORMS ARE EXPECTED TO BE SLOW MOVING AND THE

STRONGEST STORMS WILL LIKELY PRODUCE RAINFALL RATES OF OVER ONE



INCH PER HOUR WHICH COULD RESULT IN FLASH FLOODING.

* ANYONE PLANNING OUTDOOR ACTIVITIES ACROSS EASTERN UTAH OR

WESTERN COLORADO SHOULD BE PREPARED FOR RAPID RISES OF WATER…

ESPECIALLY IN NARROW SLOT CANYONS AND NORMALLY DRY ARROYOS.

STORMS THAT ARE MANY MILES AWAY COULD TRIGGER FLOODING AT YOUR

LOCATION EVEN IF ITS NOT RAINING.

A FLASH FLOOD WATCH MEANS THAT CONDITIONS MAY DEVELOP THAT LEAD

TO FLASH FLOODING. FLASH FLOODING IS A VERY DANGEROUS SITUATION.

YOU SHOULD MONITOR LATER FORECASTS AND BE PREPARED TO TAKE ACTION

SHOULD FLASH FLOOD WARNINGS BE ISSUED.
