Flood advisory issued for Red Cliff, near Gypsum, Dotsero
Vail, CO Colorado
EAGLE COUNTY, Colorado ” A flood advisory has been issued for the Eagle River in Red Cliff and below Gypsum and the Colorado River near Dotsero.
Rivers will rise steadily for the next couple days as warm temperatures melt snow quickly, the advisory from the National Weather Service said.
“Minor flooding” may occur along several small creeks in western Colorado, the Weather Service said.
Cooler weather will arrive later this week and will slow the melting of snow, the Weather Service said.
The Weather Service urges people not to drive through flooded areas.
“Two feet of water is enough to float most vehicles,” the Weather Service said.
