Florida deputies arrest third suspect in Eagle-Vail burglaries

EAGLE COUNTY, Colorado “-The third and final suspect in an Eagle-Vail, Colorado burglary was arrested Monday in Florida and is on his way back to Colorado where he faces multiple felony charges, the Eagle County Sheriff’s Office says.
Deputies from the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office arrested 19-year-old Ashlin Romero in Melbourne, Fla., on the strength of a warrant issued by Eagle County Sheriff’s Office.
Romero is suspected to have taken part Jan. 17 in the burglary of an Eagle-Vail store where several high-end cell phones were stolen. The Sheriff’s Office says it also believes Romero was involved in a Beaver Creek residential burglary in December.
Romero, who is being extradited back to Eagle County, is facing felony charges of burglary, theft, criminal mischief, contributing to the delinquency of a minor, violation of bond conditions and theft by receiving.
Eagle County deputies arrested two 17-year-old boys Monday for their suspected role in the Eagle-Vail burglary of the cell phone store. One of the boys was taken to a juvenile detention facility in Denver, while the other was released to his parents. Both boys were charged with burglary, theft and criminal mischief.

Some stolen cell phones from the Eagle-Vail store and stolen televisions from the Beaver Creek residence were recovered from the suspect’s residences. The Sheriff’s Office said these suspects are being investigated for their involvement in other Eagle County commercial burglaries and additional criminal charges are anticipated.
Several other Eagle-Vail businesses “-Treasure’s and Route 6 Cafe ” along with the Outback in Avon were also burglarized on Jan. 17.
