VAIL — The Betty Ford Alpine Gardens and the Vail Public Library are hosting a flower arranging Evening of Engagement at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday in the community room of the library. Betty Ford Alpine Gardens’ flower arranging class is intended for individuals interested in learning how to create floral designs that will highlight each flower’s most beautiful and unique characteristics.

Participants will learn how to handle and care for flowers, proper use of tools such as a floral knife and clippers, and how to condition flowers for optimal vase life. A material fee of $10 will cover the cost of instruction, flowers and a vase.
