Flu cases multiply at University of Colorado
The Denver Post
Swine flu was big on campus at the University of Colorado at Boulder last week as the number of confirmed and probable cases rose to 96 and more than 100 students went to the university health center with flulike symptoms.
Still, the Wardenburg Health Center will no longer test every student with flulike symptoms for the H1N1 virus, said Wardenburg’s lead physician, Dr. Pamela Talley.
Traffic has been heavy at Wardenberg. There were four confirmed cases of the H1N1 virus and 92 more probable cases, up from from 85 previous week, Talley said.
CU spokesman Bronson Hilliard said campus health officials think there are many more students infected with H1N1.
These students might have been treated by their own doctors or at other Boulder medical facilities, Hilliard said.
