‘Flushed Away’ screens Friday at the Vilar Center

VAIL ” The Vilar Center for the Arts brings back free family movie series for the summer starting Friday with “Flushed Away.” The film begins at 6 p.m. Friday

When an upper-crust house-mouse finds himself flushed into the sewer system of London, the adventure begins. The underground world is filled with characters ” good and bad who live in an intricate and exciting city. Film stars Hugh Jackman, Kate Winslet, Ian McKellen and Jean Reno. The film is rated PG, and has a runtime of 84 minutes.

Back again this year is the ever-popular kids costume contest. Kids dressed as their favorite movie characters are encouraged to participate in a costume contest, with prizes awarded to all. Contest prizes have been donated by Beaver Creek merchants.
