Fly-fishing/ecology program returns to Vail

VAIL, Colorado – You can learn about the environment while learning the basics of fly-fishing starting Thursday in Vail.
The Vail Recreation District fly-fishing program begins Thursday at the Vail Nature Center, and takes place Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays throughout the summer. There are classes for all age groups and abilities.
The classes are taught by instructors from Minturn Anglers , who will teach participants about river ecosystems and how to take care of them.
Children’s classes will take place from 9 a.m. to noon on Mondays and Tuesdays beginning July 27 and adult classes will take place from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursdays and Fridays.
Cost is $50 per child, for the two-day class with a maximum of eight children per class or $115 per adult, per two-day class with a maximum of five adults per class. Participants may bring their own gear, or gear will be provided.
