Foo Fighters postpone Red Rocks concerts

If the Foo Fighters can’t do it all-out, they won’t do it at all. Or at least they’ll wait until they can.

Two sold-out shows at Red Rocks scheduled for Monday and Tuesday night are postponed until September at the insistence of singer Dave Grohl’s doctor, according to the band.

Monday’s show is now set for Sept. 8, with Tuesday’s tickets honored on Sept. 9. Anyone who can’t make those dates can get a refund where they bought their tickets, potentially freeing up more tickets for fans who got shut out.

In a statement, Grohl said “as much as it kills us to postpone shows, I’m in no shape to deliver the kind of (all-out) performance that you guys deserve. We’re already looking forward to September when we can make it up to everyone 10 times over.”

After a few days of rest the tour picks up again Thursday in Oklahoma City.
