Former deputy D.A. to fill open judgeship
DENVER – Katharine Sullivan has been appointed to the Eagle County Court to fill a vacancy created by Judge Frederick Gannett’s appointment to the district court, Lt. Gov. Jane Norton announced Friday.Norton is acting governor while Gov. Bill Owens is out of state.Sullivan is in private practice and formerly was deputy district attorney in the 9th Judicial District, and assistant attorney general for New York.The initial term of office for a county court judge is a provisional term of two years, after which the incumbent must stand for retention to serve an additional four years. The annual salary is $108,362.Vail, Colorado
