Four cars broken into at Avon hotel

AVON, Colorado ” Four vehicles were broken into in a Comfort Inn parking lot and at least $680 in belongings were stolen early Thursday morning, said Krista Jaramillo, spokeswoman for the Avon Police Department.

Windows on three of the vehicles were broken and three Global Positioning System devices and one satellite radio receiver were stolen from the vehicles, Jaramillo said.

No hotel guests or employees heard or saw the burglaries and police have no suspects, she said.

“We would always like to let our guests and tourists know that anything that is of value that is in plain site should be removed from their vehicles in hopes to avoid these types of situations,” she said.

A Comfort Inn manager declined to comment.
