Later, after playing with the Beatnigs and The Disposable Heroes of Hiphoprisy, Franti formed Spearhead with several studio musicians while recording an album in Philadelphia. Originally formed as an intention to simply tour in support of the album, the band quickly won over both fans and critics, and have been touring and releasing albums successfully to date. Throughout my career I have always viewed music as a way to stir the soul and a vehicle for social change writes Franti. I love the craft of songwriting as much as I love recording and performing, and every day of my life is rich with music. Dobson Arena will also play host to the Disco Biscuits with Perpetual Groove on January 19, with tickets available at the same local outlets.
