An artist representative from the Frederica Rettore jewelry line will be at the Squash Blossom in Vail Village today through Jan. 2 for a trunk show.

“We are excited about Rettore’s newest collection,” said Amy Logan, The Squash Blossom’s manager. “It is all about color. It features both vibrant and soft tones of various gemstones within one piece. Her jewelry designs continue to have that ‘wow’ factor but, at the same time, are elegant and feminine.”

Rettore jewelry uses eclectic materials, often coupling the unusual with the precious. After graduating with a strong background in sculpture, Rettore apprenticed under some of Italy’s most notable jewelers. Since 1994, she has created her own line of exceptional fine jewelry. She also led the jewelry design team for Gucci from 2005 to 2008.

Rettore believes her jewelry is “a small sculpture to wear and never take off,” she said.

She integrates unusual arrangements of materials, such as horn, diamonds, gemstones, precious woods, corals and metals, into her jewelry.

“New standouts in the collection are her horn cuff bracelets highlighted with gemstones and her new colorful mutli-gemstone cocktail rings,” Logan said. “Federica has also created one-of-a-kind pieces especially for this show, and we are the first in the world to have them.”

Rettore creates large cuff bracelets, oversize rings of steel and rose gold with brightly colored gemstones, earrings that are lightweight and unique necklaces. A special showing of Rettore’s new collection will be at The Squash Blossom today through Jan. 2. Call 970-476-3129 for inquiries.
