VAIL VALLEY, Colorado Fun and free are two words Vail Valley, Colorado families want to hear.On Saturday, the Western Eagle County Metro Recreation District and NRC Broadcasting will provide just that for local families at the second annual Winter Free Family Fun Fair.It is a welcomed thing for families, especially in this economy, said Holli Snyder, general manager of NRC Broadcasting in Avon.Eagle Countys 55,000-square-foot indoor facility at the fairgrounds in Eagle will be brimming with activities.Anything that kids would like to do we are going to have it there and it is free, said Snyder.Children will be able to maneuver through an obstacle course, ride a mechanical bull, get their adrenaline racing on the bungee jumping trampoline, get their face painted, ride a pony, scale a climbing wall and more. Some of Eagle Countys emergency personnel will be on site with an ambulance and a fire truck for everyone to view. This event is designed for children ages 2-to-12 years old and runs from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. There will be free parking.For more information call 970-949-0140.
