VAIL — Get outdoors and enjoy Vail’s beauty and fresh mountain air with an invigorating yoga practice from 9 to 10 a.m. Saturdays on the Solaris lawn in Vail, starting Saturday and running through Sept. 17.
“These classes are a perfect way to jumpstart your day, meet friends and grab a coffee afterwards,” said Tara Goike, a yoga instructor at the Vail Vitality Center. “Each week we will feature one of the Vail Vitality Center’s amazing teachers to guide you through a nurturing yoga practice. It is one of the best summer highlights to being in Vail.”
Yoga instructors from the Vail Vitality Center teach the all-levels vinyasa flow-style classes. Karen Anderson, the new yoga director at the Vitality Center, said the events are a wonderful way to bring the community together.
“Yoga means ‘union,’ and practicing together — outdoors, in front of Vail Mountain — is an amazing way to come together,” she said. “Everyone has a great time.”
Classes are rain or shine, and participants should bring their own yoga mats, water and sunscreen. There is no class on Aug. 13. The series will wrap up with a Global Mala event on Sept. 17. For more information, contact the Vail Vitality Center at 970-476-7721.
