EDWARDS ” The third annual Free Family Fun Fair will take place at Freedom Park in Miller Ranch in Edwards from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday. The Free Family Fun Fair is a special event designed for local families with children ages 2 to 12. The event features free activities throughout the day including a quad bungee trampoline, several bouncy castles, an obstacle course, a train, a climbing wall, the game Dance Dance Revolution and a mechanical bull.

Also featured is a face painting tent, an art tent, balloon animals, a bike rodeo, mascot characters and new this year, a Mexican band from 3 to 4 p.m.

Some of Eagle County’s law enforcement and emergency responders will also be on-site with ambulances, fire trucks and police cars for everyone to view. A child seat safety check will be taking place all day at the Colorado Mountain College parking lot.

A free entertainment stage will run throughout the day with the highlight of the day being the helicopter ball drop for the Youth Foundation. This is a local organization that prepares children in need for success in life through education and recreational activities. They will drop pre-purchased golf balls from a helicopter, landing them on a field with over-sized holes which signify several different prizes that the owner of the ball may win. People can purchase balls by calling the Youth Foundation at 970-763-7000 or buy them the day of the event.

Vendors will be on hand throughout the day selling food and other things and non-profits from across the valley will host booths, too.
