Move over Hot Summer Nights, there’s two more free concert series in town.

Beaver Creek Resort and Red Sky Ranch in Wolcott have added its own free music on Saturdays and Thursdays respectively.”If the Wolcott Yacht Club can get hundreds of people downvalley once a week, we thought we could do it too,” Paul Mroz, director of operation at Red Sky Golf Club, said. “We hope to build a Thursday night tradition. We have such a beautiful back patio and drop-dead gorgeous views.”

Red Sky Ranch is located on Belly Ache Ridge Road just off of Interstate 70 on the Wolcott exit. Open Road Bluegrass will jam on Thursday. In addition to music, Red Sky’s restaurant, Summerthyme, offers food and bourban drinks.”We have infused bourban with fruit on the bar. Very smooth, single barrel bourban, and we make bourban lemonades,” Mroz said.

Mroz hopes he has tapped into a dark liquor niche that the valley hasn’t seen yet.Beaver Creek rocks out Saturdays at 4:30 p.m. The highlight arrives when Brooks and Dunn peform July 28, which will be a paid concert.

“The energy in Beaver Creek on Saturday afternoons this summer is sure to reach an all-time high, said Tony O’Rourke, executive director of the Beaver Creek Resort Company. “Families and friends can kick back after a day of hiking or rafting and relax with terrific music and refreshments.” Arts & Entertainment Editor Cassie Pence can be reached at 949-0555, ext. 619, or Colorado
