Free Physicals

Free high school physicals Vail Valley Medical Center's Tania Engle collaborated with other medical providers from Vail Valley Medical Center, the Steadman Clinic and Eagle County Paramedic District to provide nearly 300 high school students with free physicals, which are mandatory for participation in sports. Student athletes were screened for vision and hearing; heart, blood pressure and pulse; as well as general health. All incoming freshmen received baseline testing for concussions. In addition, participants and their parents were educated on injury prevention, when to return to sport after injury, concussions and physical rehabilitation.
