Free seminar on end-of-life care in Edwards Sept. 22
EDWARDS – Hospice of the Valley, a division of HomeCare & Hospice of the Valley, will host a free seminar given by Hospice Foundation of America called “Spirituality and End-of-Life-Care” at Edwards Interfaith Chapel on Sept. 22 from 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. The seminar is a taped panel discussion about spirituality and end-of-life care. The event is free and open to the public. Continuing education credits are available for nurses, social workers, case managers, funeral directors, clergy and others. Frank Sesno, director, School of Media and Public Affairs at George Washington University and host and creator of Planet Forward, will moderate the event. The panelists are professors, chaplains and spiritual caregiving experts from around the country offering guidance on ways to help terminally-ill persons use and enhance spiritual coping as life draws to an end.
